the hub of craft beer and entertainment

Think of it as a microcosm of Wellington bringing together some of the region’s top breweries and delicious food on one site – Brewtown is a one-stop-shop and a must-visit for craft beer lovers.

Also home to a boutique distillery, Brewtown is the perfect place to spend an afternoon taste-testing the best the region has to offer and it is just a short walk away from Upper Hutt train station making it an easy trip to and from the city.

About us

Brewtown has three breweries onsite, Panhead Custom Ales, Boneface Brewing Co., and Te Aro Brewing Co., alongside Wild Kiwi Distillery (partnered with Good George Brewing), and Kereru Brewing’s Kuku Restaurant; Kereru’s main brewing site just around the corner. Known for its incredible water quality, Upper Hutt has quickly become a favourite for brewers looking to manufacture beer in Wellington.

Each venue has food options as well as incredible range of custom brews alongside their well-known classics.
The Brewtown site is set up for public and private events, with green spaces to invite visiting brewers and eateries onsite. Our annual Brew Day (31 October 2020) brings thousands of people from the region to taste the best new brews from some of Wellington’s top breweries, alongside music and other activities.

Recently, Brewtown unveiled their 4500 sqm entertainment complex, complete with mini golf, ice skating, paintball, ten pin bowling, cart racing and a trampoline park.

To get to Brewtown by train, catch the Hutt Valley Line and get off at Upper Hutt station. From there, it is an easy 5 min walk to Brewtown.
